Dr. Rudas has finally confirmed that in the school year 2004/2005 he will perform the course "Analysis of categorical variables" from 23-27 of August 2004, lecture room P-204, Faculty of economics, Ljubljana.

Meeting of The programme council in June

The council talked about the Bologna reform. Possible is an itroduction of a one year research master - additional entry ticket for doctorate study for less mathematical directed diplomants of second degree. Also possible is an itroduction of second degree.

The council also talked about an english translation which is about to end, about an entry at which in the future students will sign a contract and finally about the fact that students of next generation 2004/2005 who will have to finish all obligations if they want to be cofinanced.

Final date of Corespondent analysis lectures, which is part of the subject Analysis of categorical variables, is 18. and 23.6.2004 from 16-19 pm, at P-204 lecture room at Faculty of economics.

Meeting of The programme council in May

The programme council has at the meeting in May:

confirmed Mathematics seminar as a new obligation in the first year of the study in extent 18 hours and 6 credit points;
approved all four applications for direct passage to doctorate study;
decided that an entry in the school year 2004/2005 will be similar to former years, that is 40 students;
students in the future at entry sign a study contract.

The council has also talked about introduction of second and third degree of Statistics in bologna's reform sense.

There is also a new brochure beeing prepared, a picnic, and the course bearers need to until 15.6. prepare eventuall changes and complementations of the brochure, including presentation updating.

Piknik

Bliza se zakljucek predavanj in kot lani smo se odlocili, da bomo naredili manjsi "piknik". Piknik bo letos v gostiscu Livada in sicer 21.6. Dobimo se ob 16 uri, tako da lahko tisti, ki imamo sluzbene obveznosti le-te v miru zakljucimo. Cena bo po vsej verjetnosti 2.500 na osebo (vem da ni ravno poceni, samo taksne so dandanes cene). Zainteresirane prosim, da se prijavijo, saj je zazeljeno, da vnaprej sporocimo stevilo oseb - v povezavi s tem, morajo pripraviti ustrezno kolicino obrokov. Seveda so na piknik, poleg studentov 1 in 2 letnika podiplomskega studija statistike, povabljeni tudi vsi profesorji in asistenti.

Napake v anketah: Sprememba v urniku

Prof. Lyberg bo v okviru predmeta Napake v anketah namesto srede predaval v soboto, predavanji sta torej �v petek 23.4.2004.16-19h in v soboto 24.4.2004. 9-12h.

Sicer pa se predmet pri�ne v petek, 16.5.2004, ob 16h, v predavalnici 4, novi del FDV.

In the school year 2004/2005 prof. Rudas will keep his lectures in August 2004, from 23-27, monday-friday. Details will be announced later.

The second part of the course, lectured by dr. Rovan, will probably start in early autmn 2004.

Final plan for the Errors in survey research courseetah

In March some additional changes about realization of the course have been made - lectures from the week befote the first of May have been transfered to June.

Lectures will be performed in lecture room 4 in the new part of FDV at wednesdays or fridays from 16 - 19 pm:

April: 16, 21, 23
May: 5, 7, 19, 21, 22 (saturday 9-12), 26, 28
June: 2, 4 plus conclusion seminar in the week 7-11
